Why I do this
Dear you,
People are always a little surprised when I tell them my favourite part of companionship isn't the dinner or the view. It's the moment someone finally relaxes and starts telling me who they really are.
I'm a good listener. I always have been. Most of us carry a lot quietly: the work, the pressure, the things we don't say to anyone at home. I want our time together to be the place where you can set all of that down.
So here's my promise. Whatever you share stays with me. You don't have to perform or impress. You can laugh too loudly, talk about your dog for twenty minutes, or say nothing at all and just watch the waves. I'll be right there, and I'll be genuinely glad you came.
That's what I hope you leave with: the feeling that someone was truly on your side for a little while.
xx, Allison
